Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was released in U.S and India as Harry Potter and the sorcerer’s stone, a fantasy movie. The movie was released in 2001 and was directed by Chris Columbus. Harry Potter is based on the novel of J.K.Rowling and is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The movie is the first installment of the Harry Potter series. The star Daniel Radcliffe (in the movie as Harry Potter) is sharing the screen with Rupert Grint (in the movie as Ron Weasley) and Emma Watson (in the movie as Hermione Granger).
